My Healthy Kitchen Staples

Having a healthfully stocked pantry and refrigerator is so important to overall health and well being.  You’re much more likely to whip up fresh, healthy meals at home when you a consistently stocking a few healthy kitchen staples.

Despite the fact that my blog often shows my pretty, perfectly shot meals, real life is a lot messier.  It’s often a hodge podge of vegetables and a protein thrown together at the last minute.  Below are the kitchen staples I keep on hand to ensure that those thrown together meals are both delicious and nourishing.

Obviously this list is not everything that I have in my fridge at all times.  These are the kitchen staples that I feel best when I have consistently on hand.

Please note that most everything listed I tend to buy organic, but I do NOT believe that shopping only organic is necessary to living a healthy lifestyle.  If you have the access and the means to shop organic and local than you should do your best to do so to better support your well being and our planet’s well being by doing so.  Health starts in small steps, don’t think that you need to go from fast food to an all organic kitchen in one day.  Take your time, do the best you can where you are now, and remember that it is a slow journey, not a race.
